This weeks memory verse for my husband and I is:
1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. (ESV)
We always believe that we are alone. That God does not understand how we feel. That today’s technology makes everything so much worse and God just doesn’t understand this. People, God invented technology. He planted the idea into people’s minds and they get the credit, which is okay i guess, but we all need to remember that it would not have been possible without God. We are tempted daily. Either it is the music we listen to, the movies we watch, sex, and money. All these things are not sinful in itself, but they are sinful when we allow it to take control of our lives. Give it to God. I write this not only to help you and make you accountable for what you say and do, but also so I am held accountable. In saying this, pray for one another so that we may be able to live our live fully for God.
On a day like this, when my husband is in class i like to clean the house and do little projects. One i have done is making my own homemade body scrub!! This body scrub smells fresh and feels great on the skin. It is nice and cooling/refreshing and I definitely recommend it for anyone that is dealing with a sunburn. I will give you the ingredients as well as instructions on how to make it. Lets get started!!!
Cucumber Body Scrub
you will need:
- 3/4 cup chopped cucumber
- 1/4 cup liquid coconut oil
- 1 cup white sugar
Wash the cucumber and pat dry, then place in the blender. Pour the sugar in the blender and then add the liquid coconut oil. Blend until the cucumbers have broken down and you’re happy with the consistency. Pour into jar that can be sealed, and store in the refrigerator until ready to use. The scrub should keep for two weeks in the refrigerator. ( recipe from Willow and Sage, Autumn 2015, magazine)
Also, make yourself some coffee, burn some candles( I currently have 4 lit!!: make sure to keep an eye on them!), watch a movie, or read your bible!! Do not idle all day, make sure your house is clean before your husband gets home!
